1. Kigelia

The key ingredient in Pradiance products: Kigelia Africana (African Sausage Tree), a near miraculous botanical, which naturally promotes skin elasticity; has powerful anti-oxidant qualities; helps to heal sun damaged skin, and can improve sun spots leading to a radiant and healthy skin. It’s healing action is not only rapid but has impressive, long-lasting results. 

Kigelia works in many ways, including: 

• Provision of anti-oxidants, which prevent free radicle activity, therefore affecting the vitality and vibrancy of the skin. 
• Promotion of elasticity, creating a firmer, smoother complexion. 
• Provision of an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal effect against micro-organisms.
• Effectively treating sun damaged skin as it repairs the tissue at deep levels 

Scientific literature suggests positive results in treating cancerous sun spots and as a potential cure for basal-cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer associated with ageing and prolonged sun exposure. 

Tests indicated that extracts from the bark of the tree were shown to contain chemicals known as iridoids (Verminoside), which block the growth of harmful bacteria. Kigelia also contains flavonoids - phytonutrients (plant chemicals) found in almost all fruits and vegetables. They are responsible for the vivid colours in fruits and vegetables. Flavonoids are powerful antioxidants with anti-inflammatory and immune system benefits.

Our organic skincare range is scientifically formulated containing Kigelia and other specially selected plant ingredients that are sustainably sourced, and certified natural.

Natural

Pradiance is genuinely certifiable Natural. This means our products are free of ALL synthetic chemical ingredients. 

• Synthetic chemicals include parabens - synthetic chemical preservatives of which some parabens have been linked to breast cancer. 
• Mineral oil/petroleum/paraffin (petro chemicals) - these are a by-product of gasoline mining, which in our opinion has no place on human skin due to its ‘dead’ quality and its ability to clog/block pores. 
• Sodium Laureth and Lauryl sulphate – foaming agents which are very harsh on the skin and can strip the skin. They were first used in garages to strip grease off engines. 
• Synthetic colours and fragrances – these can sensitise the skin and cause photo sensitivity. 

Organic 

This refers to the plant matter and how it is farmed. Pradiance uses ONLY organic plant material. When plants are sprayed with harmful synthetic chemical pesticides and then used in a cosmetic, a residue can be found on the surface of the skin! We never use GMO ingredients! Genetically modified organisms in plants can manipulate the DNA in humans when ingested. A reminder that the skin absorbs about 60% of what is put on it, therefore Pradiance will not use GMO plant ingredients. 

3. Produced in an Organic Certified Laboratory

This means that all our ingredients are certified Natural and the percentage of Organic ingredients has to be strictly adhered to according to the Organic Certification regulations.
The laboratory is checked regularly with regard to ingredients they have on site and work with, and the hygiene standards are tightly controlled and adhered to.
